Imari Porcelain made in Japan during 18th to 19th C. being sold on eBay can include bowls, vases, tea sets, urns, side dishes, chargers, and much more. The first Japanese true porcelain was made during the last 29 years of the 16th C. and only came into steady production half a century later. The vast majority of the porcelain made during the early to mid-years of the 1800s was made in the Arita province located in Southwest Japan. By the end of the 19th C. during the Meiji period, the porcelain centers of Arita began migrating to the nearby area of Seto due to its superior availability of raw supplies and better market access.
